A new home built as a cottage to the street with a contemporary approach to detail.

A new home for a young family. The design solution is a new addition facing the backyard and placed back to back with the old Dalkeith residence facing the front yard and street.

With due north to the street this design solution required a private outdoor courtyard on the street side in order to benefit from the warm sun in cooler months of the year and allow that light to enter the house.
